General Manager and Head Coach Mike Ruest started his Junior Career with the Cornwall Royals where he was subsequently drafted in the Sixth Round by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1970 Entry Draft. He played 6 years in the Toronto Maple Leaf’s Minor System including having played on two Championship teams. The first with the ’71 Syracuse Blazers and then again with the ’76 Saginaw Gears. Mike as over 11 years of Junior “A” Coaching experience, starting with 6 Seasons with the Cornwall Colts including a Victory at the Fred Page Cup in 2000, two years with the Kanata Stallions, and three years with the Orleans Blues. He and his wife Nicole call Chapel Hill home and have three grown children, ages 31, 29, and 28.
