| Rescheduled Off-Site Game To Be Played In Rockland! |
The originally scheduled January 18th game which was to be played against Hawkesbury and which was cancelled due to maintenance difficulties has been re-scheduled for Saturday, February 4th @ 7:30 p.m. at the CIH Arena located in the Clarence-Rockland Community Arena, 8710 County Road 17, Rockland, Ontario. Junior “A” hockey is not new to Rockland - the 1976 Rockland Nationals, coached by Bryan Murray had the distinction, until the 2011 Pembroke Lumber Kings, of being the only CJHL (CCHL) club to win a National title.

| January Update |
The OJS made their move at the January 10th trade deadline by acquiring Kemptville’s scoring leader, Josh Pitt. In return Ottawa sent Joey House, David Chiarelli and a First Round Draft Pick back to Kemptville. In the five games Josh has played for the OJS he has put up 8 points – Welcome to the team Josh!
After 48 Games the OJS stand 3rd in the Yzerman Division and 6th overall with a 24-21-3-0 record (51 Points). The OJS scoring race is led by Conor Brown with 54 points, who is followed closely by Devon Rice with 52, while newly acquired forward Josh Pitt is tied with Drew Anderson with 45.
Still struggling with injuries, the OJS won 3 but lost 4 during January with only one game remaining to wrap-up the month. D-man Joey Shector has recently returned after a prolonged illness and Jeremie Gauthier is expected to step back into the line-up within the next few weeks.

New coach has Jr. Sens back on winning track
For the Ottawa Jr. Senators, good news has taken the form of a new coach and general manager and three wins in a row capped by a 5-3 win over the Hawkesbury Hawks on Oct. 5 at the Jim Durrell Complex.
The new man behind the bench for the Jr. Sens is Rick Dorval, who spent the past two seasons with the Gloucester Rangers.

Dorval turns Junior Sens around
When Peter Ambroziak resigned from his position as the head coach of the Ottawa Junior Senators just prior to the start of the 2011-12 Central Canada Hockey League season, team officials weren’t left scrambling, but they were a little taken back.
“It was tough to lose Peter. Excellent hockey guy with a lot of knowledge, and it would really have been nice to have seen what he could have done with this hockey club,” said Junior Sens co-general manager and head scout Darren Graff. “Unfortunately with work, moving his whole family from the United States, it just didn’t prove to be something he had the time commitment for.” Read More...

| Rice Named Corporate Hype Player of the Week! |
The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce that the Corporate Hype Player of the Week is Devon Rice of the Ottawa Junior Senators. Rice helped the Jr. Senators to a perfect 4-0 record this past week and into first place in the Yzerman Division. The Ottawa forward accumulated an impressive 11 points (6G, 5A) and is currently first in league scoring with 26 points (10G, 16A). Rice was also selected 1st game star in two of the four games played this past week. Congratulation Devon!

| Roller Coaster Ride Marks Beginning of OJS Season |
After three commanding and decisive wins at the start of the 2011-2012 Season the OJS went on to lose the next five in a row before rallying back under the watchful eye of new Head Coach Rick Dorval with three more wins to close out the month with a 6-5-0-0 record. The 12 point total was good enough to put the Sens in the second spot within the Yzerman Division and place the team in a three way tie for 4th place overall. First Liners Devon Rice, Conor Brown, and Drew Anderson are all ranked in the top ten of league wide Scoring Leaders – having accumulated 17, 16, and 15 points respectively.
After an exhaustive search for a new Head Coach, the OJS were pleased to announce at the end of September that CJHL veteran Head Coach Rick Dorval was taking the reigns over from Interim Coach Martin Dagenais. Dagenais will be staying on with the Hockey Club as an Assistant Coach. Dorval has been quick to make his mark and has a perfect 3-0 record to date with wins over Kanata (6-2), Kemptville (4-1), and Hawkesbury (5-3).
The heavy October schedule continues with the next three games on-the-road against Carleton Place this Friday, October 7th (Game time 7:30), Sunday vs. Pembroke (Game time 7:00 p.m.), and a rare afternoon game on Monday vs. Gloucester (Game time 2:30). The OJS will be returning home on Wednesday, October 12th when they play host to the Grads.

| Brown Named Player of the Week! |
The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce that the Corporate Hype Player of the Week is Conor Brown of the Ottawa Jr. Senators. Brown, a Greely native in his 3rd year has helped the Jr. Sens to an impressive 3-1 start. The explosive winger has notched 10 points (3G, 7A) in the three games he has played and sits atop the league scoring leaders. Brown is also one of 20 CCHL players attending the Canada East camp at the Bell Sensplex this week in hopes of participating in the World Junior A Hockey Challenge November 7-13 in Langley, British Columbia .

| Brown and Boudreau Named to Team Canada East Selection Camp! |
The OJS are proud to announce that both Conor Brown (’92) and Deric Boudreau (’94) have been named to the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Team Canada East Selection Camp. Conor, a Greely native, currently leads the league-wide scoring race with 10 points. Deric, who calls Orleans home, has had a respectable 4 point start and has made his mark as a definitive impact player. The OJS would like to wish both Conor and Deric, as well as the other players selected for this camp throughout the league, the best of success.
On the Game front, the Junior Sens made it 3 in a row, beating out the Rangers 6-2 at the Durrell Wednesday night. Staring between the pipes in his first CCHL game, was Erik Plumadore (’93) who chaulked up his first “W” stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced. Boudreau, Brown, and Rice were named the game’s First, Second, and Third Stars. Congrats Boys!
The OJS visit Nepean this Sunday (2:30) before returning back home to play host to the Colts on Wednesday. Go Sens Go!
