Profile:
Eli enters his first season with the Ottawa Junior “A” Senators with a wealth of coaching experience both in Ottawa and Toronto, where he served as a goaltending coach and consultant for the past eight years. Through work and volunteer experience, he has been afforded the opportunity to work with several professional, collegiate and Major Junior goaltenders. Eli’s coaching method focuses on a modern hybrid technique, emphasizing the importance of positioning, rebound control and situational awareness on the ice.
Eli enjoyed playing his minor hockey for the Nepean Minor Hockey Association and upon graduation played for the Stittsville Royals in the Eastern Ontario Junior “B” Hockey League. He concluded his playing career as a member of the Carleton University Ravens men’s hockey club.
Eli holds a combined honours degree in mass communications and Canadian studies from Carleton University and a post-graduate certificate in public relations from the Humber Institute of Advanced Learning in Toronto.
He currently works and resides in Ottawa.
